So Long Summer

It was a long hot summer, but a fun one (once we got over Winn's tonsillectomy that happened early June and then there was Meredith's fractured tibia in August).  Lots of firefly chasing, popsicles, watermelon peaches, okra, and swimming.  We joined Goose Creek and took some hard-core survival swimming lessons.  Winn really learned how to swim swim float (flip over on his back and float), but Meredith learned how to swim swim sink.  We will have to pick up with more lessons for Meredith next summer.  We are on the cusp of a new season, just this morning Meredith gathered bigleaf magnolia leaves that have already fallen.  So long Summer, we will miss you, but look forward to cool crisp mornings and the changing colors of Autumn.
